April 2021: Innovation: Pretotyping does it better

Hi <<First Name>>,

2021 has been a busy one so far - can you believe we're already over a quarter of the way through the year? I hope you enjoyed a break over the Easter long weekend (I know I certainly did), and are ready to dive right into the second quarter of 2021; I have a feeling that the EOFY will be on us faster than you can say pretotyping.

Alongside our roster of consultations and workshops, we've been hard at work on a new blog series for our website, discussing some of the major innovation methods out there and how they could be made better by incorporating pretotyping. Our free slack channel has been exploding with new members, who've brought lots of interesting questions and opinions; we've also seen a few new graduates from our online pretotyping course

Find out more about what we've been up to + some insights into the world of innovation below!

Innovation? Pretotyping does it better.

We've been working on a new blog series that looks at some of the major innovation methodologies out there and explains why combining them with pretotyping could make them even better. Check out part #1 on the Lean method or part #2 on Agile values and the Scrum method on our blog, with 3 more installments coming soon.
SpaceX Starship: accelerated learning or #epicfail?

As always, I've been keeping a watchful eye on the innovations of the world around us, including the recent SpaceX Starship test out of Starbase in Texas. The test for SN11, the fourth high-altitude flight test of Starship, resulted in yet another "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly" (in other words, it exploded, just like the others). It has many people laughing and shaking their heads, but is it really the failure that it seems? I'd suggest that the Starship blowing up four times in a row is actually massively accelerated learning that just looks like failure to the untrained eye. Read more about the SpaceX Starship mission here and let me know your thoughts!

We at Exponentially stand by the principle that you should always be learning; that's why we have our very own online course! When you sign up, you'll learn the what's, how's and why's of pretotyping and get access to our app to help you with your experiments. Get your free preview of the course today!

Meet this month's scholarship winner, and apply now!

Every month, we offer one scholarship to our Learn Pretotyping online course.

Recipients receive access to the course for just $99*, along with a one-on-one call with Exponentially’s founder, Leslie Barry, to kickstart your innovation journey. This month's scholarship winner is Ugo Jauffret. Congratulations, Ugo!

To put your hat in the ring for next month's scholarship, head to the application form.

*Why $99 tuition and not $0 for scholarship recipients? Because there will be only one scholarship granted each month and just a little bit of 'skin in the game' helps to make sure we only get serious applicants.

If you have any thoughts on the SpaceX launch tests, want to know more about pretotyping or just want to chat innovation, don't be afraid to get in touch via reply email - I'd love to hear from you!

Happy innovating!
Leslie
